Malaysian driver Fairuz Fauzy
returned to Formula One action today in Santa Pod to carry
out a day of testing for the Spyker team.
Fauzy, who had not driven the Spyker since May, assisted
the team with their aero development programme.
The team plan to introduce a heavily revised car in the
next race in Turkey.
"It was great to be back in the F1 car," said
Fauzy. "We concentrated on aero development and control
systems and had a very productive day.
"Santa Pod is not really a complete track, but it's
quite bumpy, fun and challenging to drive. We didn't have
any problems and it was nice to be able to get some more
mileage in a Formula One car. I'm looking forward to getting
some more time later in the season."
